Fred Rolando installed our officers at our December 2, 2009 Union meeting. In spite of it being a cold, rainy day the room was packed with Letter Carriers. President Rolando was meeting with Senator Susan Collins from Maine at 6:00pm in Washington, DC and still made the effort to get to our meeting by 7:30 pm. Fred spoke on the state of the Postal Service and answered every question from the floor. We greatly appreciate President Rolando coming to our meeting and installing all of our Officers.

Also attending the installation was our National Business Agent, Tim Dowdy, our State president and Step B rep, Tonya Detrick, and our NALC arbitration advocate, Del Wilson. We were all very appreciative that they took the time out of their busy schedules to attend our installation of officers.

We lost 47 assignments in IARAP and MIARAP. Some of the routes cannot be done in 8 hours. The comments by some managers during floor talks have been nothing short of disgusting! In many of our units, the day after the routes were changed floor talks were given. We were told how worthless we are and what a poor effort was being given. Many routes had massive changes and some routes were changed 100 percent. And on the first day we were told that we stink! They are experts at building morale! WE WILL FIGHT BACK!

Please visit our web site set up by Union Brother Chuck Clark at (WWW.NALC3825.COM). We have added important Step B decisions, Formal A settlements as well as arbitration decisions and some contentions. You can see how much money each supervisor in the nation makes. You can also see the number of stops on each route, and detailed colored maps for every route in the country!
